Corporate Governance
HDFC Plc had been at the forefront of housing loan market with cost leadership at
its inception in 2004 offering low-cost mortgage loans with repayment periods up
to twenty years. However, the Government of Maldives is currently addressing social
housing issues through HDFC Plc. and available multilateral lines of credit from
International Agencies will be utilized to finance the demand for housing from the
middle and wider income segments to ensure commercial viability and sustained growth
of the organization. In addition to this homegrown long term savings deposits targeting
the future housing needs of minors will also for part of the sourcing of long-term
funds.
New initiatives and renewed thinking shall guild us on the correct path towards
realizing our vision to provide decent and affordable homes in a safe and healthy
environment, and progress to uplift the living standards of living for all Maldivians
by becoming a National Development Bank.
